Once cgl 2015 result is declared, this group will be flooded with extraordinary success stories…..n my simple story will b lost among them so i will present it now….. smile emoticon smile emoticon Disclaimer – Pessimists/Cynics will not find anything worth mentioning here but a serious aspirant may find some hope which may inspire him to work harder smile emoticon So let’s start…….. I belong to a small village of UP, 90% of people here r either poor farmers or daily workers in factories(including b.tech. guys smile emoticon ), only few people dare to follow the dream of getting a government job, and many of these dreamers dream of becoming clerk, constable etc, i dont know even a single person from my village who dared to try for ssc cgl/upsc seriously…… frown emoticon By the way, i scored 80% in 12th from U.P. Board(first to do so from my area) and i appeared in IIT JEE and AIEEE that year. I got AIR 60000(out of 11 lakh guys) so i decided to prepare for IIT JEE, so i took admission in a local coaching. After 1 year, i appeared again in JEE and AIEEE. I didnt qualify for IIT and got 75000 rank in AIEEE,At that rank , i couldnt get admission in any ‘Sarkari college’ and all my dreams were shattered….all my confidence was gone.. Later, i took admission in B.Sc. and in 3rd year of B.Sc. i appeared in many entrance exams(for Admission in M.sc or MCA) but couldnt pass even a single exam…… The main cause of Failure was that though i worked very hard, but my mind was diverted in many exams, every exam requires a different strategy and u cant prepare for 10 exams simultaneously…. Khair…, after completing bsc in july 2014, i had nothing to do!!!(gharwalo aur rishtedaaro ki savaal bhari nazar chubhne lagi thi) And 2 months were passed in utter confusion and in september 2014, i packed my bag and took a train to mukharjeenagar, Delhi to try my destiny….. 2 of my college friends were already there, taking Ssc Cgl coaching from Paramount. I took many demo classes in mukharjeenagar in various coachings of SSC and UPSC but the fee of UPSC Coaching was so high that i eventually decided to go for SSC CGL though i was afraid of Ssc crowd bcoz i had heard stories of lakhs of candidates appearing for some 8000 seats and sky high cut offs…. I took admission in a coaching for 5 months course of cgl in october 2014(5 mahino me sarkari naukri paaiye smile emoticon). I thought that i will apply for every ssc, bank, other exams and appeared in 3 exams-syndicate PO, new india AO, united insurance AO but i failed in all 3. I realized that banking/insurance had a different pattern from Ssc(especially reasoning and gk) so i decided that i will save both time and money and apply for exams with ssc pattern(like CPO,LDC,state government exams like kaanungo, lekhpal etc). I made a strategy for every part, and practised a lot for every section daily, after solving a lot of mocks daily,my speed and accuracy increased and i started scoring 120-130 in mocks. This motivated me to work harder,i used to revise maths formulae, lucent facts and english words while travelling/cooking smile emoticon I came back from delhi in march n thought that i will study at home but this didnt work and i wasted precious two months doing nothing…. cgl was in august so i decided to take a single room in dehradun(nearest city) and shifted there in june 2015, I was back in form again and did only 2 things-revision and solving paramount+arihant mocks on blank omr within 1 hr 40 min….. Then the Big day came and my paper was on 16 august evening shift… First,i did GK in almost 8 minutes and darkened the bubbles, then English in 20 minutes, then reasoning took almost 35 minutes and i was left with almost 1 hr so i started maths but i couldnt solve the first question(it was typing error n question was wrong) and then the worst happened……….my mind was blocked…. i couldnt solve sums anymore…i was horrified…. i closed my eyes for 5 minutes……it helped my mind to relax. And then i started again but with easy questions. I managed to attempt 45 questions and then the bell rang….
Answer key was released n i scored
Result was declared later…and i got all india rank 130 out of 17.8 lakh aspirants…. i was on 7th sky
Then i wasted a week doing’rest’ smile emoticon
After that Typhoid fever caught me and 20 days were lost for nothing… then ssc declared mains date-25 october, so almost 1 month was left…. i took it as a challenge and studied like hell…. i broke all my previous records of self study and appeared in mains in delhi…..i scored
All india rank 24 smile emoticon smile emoticon
Interview took place in lucknow and it went ok…. lets see how much i get…
Meanwhile, i appeared in many exams, here is the list
Ssc ldc 2014-score 120/200 pass
Ssc ldc 2015 score 161/200 awaited
Cpo 2015 pre 139/200 mains 173/200 but failed in physicak test
I.B. ACIO – written pass, interview fail
U.P. kaanungo- written pass, interview fail
Up samiksha adhikari- fail
UP lekhpal pass smile emoticon
Fci AG GENERAL pass rank 103….
Thats all…. The journey has just started… i got a little success because i enjoyed this journey. I loved Ssc and everything related to it….
My experience of Cgl says that ssc is not a hard nut to crack…. u just need to direct ur energy in right direction and u wil come out with flying colours.. smile emoticon
Dont ask for cut offs, books etc. All books have similiar contents. Just start studying them and dont buy 4 different books for a subject….
Work hard and u will crack it bcoz very few people work hard…
Its ur life and ur decision to prepare for cgl,so respect ur decision and bang cgl……. and this time bang it harder…..
